Design and specification of your website is both important and hard. It is hard to figure out how the final site will work before it exists, so despite much good advice a lot of design gets done by building and changing.
Still, the more you can do before building starts, the better.
What to do
- Visit websites and check what you like and what not
- Make drawings and mockups in a word processor or presentation package
- Read what the experienced people say
